Ski tour in the wilderness of Sápmi

I’m heading out on a 40-day ski tour in the wilderness of Sápmi, in English commonly known as Lapland. This is the cultural region traditionally inhabited by the Sami people, traditionally known in English as Lapps. Sápmi is located in Northern Europe and includes the northern parts of Fennoscandia. The region stretches over four countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia.

I will be skiing in the northernmost region of Norway and Finland, and will try to activate some SOTA Summits and World Wide Flora & Fauna areas along the way.

I will be using my Elecraft KX3 Transceiver, 5W and a Buddistick multiband vertical antenna. In Norway I will use the callsign LA9XGA/P, and when in Finland I will be using the callsign OH/LA9XGA/P.

Looking forward to meet you on the air !

73’s de LA9XGA Tor.
